This was an educational exercise in college to train our ability in drawing different materials, structures and objects.
The assignment was to combine fire and fur, two structures we already got to know, to create an artwork of our choice. I immediately had to think of a horse with a burning mane and tail, which ended up being my finished drawing. I completely changed the color palette during the process, since my first attempt included a beige scheme for the fur. Using black instead happened more by surprise as I accidentally used the color-drop tool instead of the one I originally was going for. But in the end, the slight mistake turned out to be more of an inspiration and I quickly edited every layer so the final product could adapt and added small flames to the eye to complete the “hell horse” kind of look.
